I recently retired after teaching Marketing at Ridgewater College for 34 years. I’ve always had an interest in pottery and since I would have time I decided to take several classes from Bill Gossman, a local potter. In the past, I’ve also taken classes in drawing, painting, and commercial art at the Vancouver School of Art, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I now devote several days a week throwing pots that have an eye appealing shape as well as, when completed, are functional. Each day I endeavor to improve my skills with new challenges. At the end of each day, I enjoy seeing the results of my work.
