The creative process is enjoyable as an artist. Art making is dynamic. One creative gesture can signal another creative idea. Taking risks, exploring techniques, and manipulating media is an adventure for me as an artist. Art can be preconceived or invented spontaneously, depending upon the idea the art is meant to convey. As an art teacher, I am fortunate to be exposed to youthful creativity, different theories of art, and a variety of artistic styles. These conditions, along with the environment, media and pop culture contribute to the inspiration and subject matter for my artwork.
